St. Albert is serviced by three major transportation providers: St. Albert Transit, Edmonton Transit System, and Edmonton International Airport.
Albert’s public transport is relatively good. Bus services are provided by St. Albert Transit and Edmonton Transit System. The city is connected to Edmonton via four routes, operated by ETS and one route operated by St. Albert Transit with a transfer at the St. Albert Centre bus terminal in downtown St. Albert. ETS also provides commuter service from St. Albert to Century Park LRT station in south Edmonton during peak hours on weekdays, with two routes going via the Yellowhead Trail and another two routes going via Highway 2 (St. Albert Trail).
Edmonton Transit System is the leading public transit provider for the city of Edmonton and surrounding communities. ETS provides service to North Edmonton through Route 186, which travels from Clareview LRT Station in Edmonton to St. Albert Centre in St. Albert via 97 Street (137 Avenue). ETS also provides home-to-school service for high school students who live in St. Albert but attend schools located in Edmonton on Routes 558, 560, 562, 564, and 568.
Edmonton International Airport provides daily non-stop flights to destinations across Canada as well as various US cities including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Orlando.

There are many places of interest in St. Albert.
One of the most famous is the St. Albert Grain Elevator Park. It was featured on the CBC earlier this year and has been the subject of many articles and studies. There is also St. Albert’s Botanical Park, which while not as famous as the Grain Elevator Park, has its own charm. The Red Willow Trail is another very popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
Another point of interest is the Red Willow Trail, located near the intersection of Bellerose Drive and Village Landing Road, just east of St. Albert Place. The Red Willow Trail runs along the Sturgeon River from Sir Winston Churchill Avenue to Edenvale Crescent and provides an excellent opportunity for residents to enjoy nature in their own backyard.

St. Albert is a great place to visit, with a variety of attractions to explore! The city is located just 20 minutes northwest of Edmonton and approximately an hour southeast of Jasper National Park. St. Albert has over 35 km of paved trails, perfect for biking or dog walking! The Botanic Park is also on the river valley trail system and includes a small lake, playgrounds for all ages, and open field space for picnics and soccer games.
The city is also home to many museums and art galleries, including the St. Albert Grain Elevator Park and Musée Héritage Museum. The Grain Elevator Park tells the story of Alberta’s agricultural roots, while Musée Héritage Museum reveals our cultural history through exhibitions and programs. The Musée also houses a gallery that exhibits local artists and themes.
St. Albert’s downtown core is built around Perron Street which runs along the Sturgeon River. Here you will find both local shops and restaurants as well as major brands such as Sport Chek and Shoppers Drug Mart. Perron Street connects with St. Albert Trail in both directions so it’s easy to find!
